Free Tutoring

Tutoring sessions take place in the Metcalf science building at the following days and times:

  • Monday 6:30-8:30 pm, SCI 294 (down the hall from the 2nd floor chemistry office)
  • Thursday 6:30-8:30 pm, SCI 512 (5th floor on the chemistry side, use the Scoozi elevator)

For the most up to date information about dates and special events, check us out on Facebook at or on Instagram

During these times, there will be tutors available for both General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry, occasionally for other chemistry courses (i.e. biochem, inorganic, etc.). Feel free to come by for all or any part of the time on these days–no appointment necessary. Come with questions that you already have, ask for exam help, or just come and do your homework! We will do our best to help you in whatever way we can!

If you are interested in being a tutor and helping out your peers, feel free to come and help out whenever you can (don’t worry, this isn’t a binding commitment). Any class year is helpful (yes, sophomores, I’m talking to you!) We can always use additional tutors!

Please be mindful of the fact that this is free tutoring and that the tutors are not getting paid to provide tutoring. We are doing this of our own free will, so please be considerate.

  1. Hi Mary,

We just updated our webpage to reflect the room change for Tuesday night tutoring sessions. We are now meeting in the SCI atrium on Tuesdays and SCI 294 on Wednesdays. We hope to see you there!
