Looking forward to a great semester here,
You know what comes next, something about defeating the Huns. Or was it something about prepping your resumé to apply for all the fabulous chemistry jobs available to BU chemistry graduates? Either way, join Chemia this Wednesday 3/5 as we host Katinka Csigi, an expert in the department on just this sort of stuff. She will give a brief presentation and then we will have a discussion/ Q&A about all things chemistry jobs related.
All seniors are highly encouraged to attend, it will be a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the application process or about your resumé. Juniors and underclassmen feel free to attend as well, you may get a few tips you find useful in applying to internships!
Hope to see you there! See the link below for the event flier.
chemia resume workshop 2014
Hello all, so sorry for the delay, we’ve had some technical difficulties with the website. Obviously the semester is well underway, so this is just a reminder that tutoring is Wedesndays (non-event days) 6-8pm in Sci 294 and Thursdays 6-8pm in Sci 512 for spring 2014.
On Wednesday October 30th we will do a short workshop from 6-7pm on writing personal statements for graduate school. John Snyder will talk about what schools are looking for in these statements and a little bit about how to approach it. Seniors are welcome to bring a draft and have it peer reviewed and get feedback from other seniors.
Hi all, mark your calendars for our annual research night. This year we are excited to have Professor Ramesh Jasti presenting his research and talking a bit about undergraduate research in the chem department. You don’t want to miss this, so mark your planner for October 9th at 6pm!
